Five Pumpkin Patches near Langley to visit before Halloween

You won’t have a hard time picking the perfect pumpkin near your new home at Latimer Heights in Langley. In fact, many pumpkin patch farmers want you and your family to make a day of it.

From haunted houses to hayrides, there’s more to the pumpkin patch than just pumpkins. Here are five pumpkin patches near Latimer Heights to check out before Halloween.

Eagle Acres Dairy and Pumpkin Patch

Located less than 15 minutes from Latimer Heights, this Langley Township farm offers covered hayrides to an enormous pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkin. Admission also includes a self-guided tour of the dairy barn and visits with other farm animals on site.

Laity Pumpkin Patch

The Laity Pumpkin Patch in Maple Ridge has been a family-run agri-tourism business for over 30 years. Every October visitors come from all over the Lower Mainland to find the perfect pumpkin. In addition to nearly 40 acres of farmland, kids also will enjoy a variety of activities including corn mazes, hay wagon rides, and animals.

Port Kells Nurseries

A trip to the pumpkin patch at Port Kells Nurseries includes unlimited hayrides, animal attractions, and a haunted house. Your kids will love it here and you’ll like its location, just seven minutes from Latimer Height. While kids play, grown-ups can relax at the Pumpkin Cafe and gift store.

Rondriso Farms Pumpkin Patch and General Store

For some of the biggest pumpkins around Langley, head over the Rondriso Farms Pumpkin Patch in Surrey. Located just 10 minutes from Latimer Heights, you and your family will enjoy a hayride down to the pumpkin fields to pick your own pumpkin or you can choose from an assortment of already-picked pumpkins. In addition to giant pumpkins, this farm also grows mini-pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks and hay bales available for sale at the farm stand. Make sure you visit the cows and chickens before you leave.

Aldor Acres

With more than 15 different varieties of pumpkins spread out over 20 acres, you’re guaranteed to find the perfect pumpkin at Aldor Acres. In addition to their pumpkin patch, this farm invites you to experience numerous animal displays, a petting zoo area and antique farm machinery provided by the B.C. Farm Museum. Be sure to pick up some of Grandma Anderson’s homemade preserves before you leave.
