The Copperfield-Mahogany Community Association
The Copperfield-Mahogany Community Association (CMCA) is an incredible organization of local residents dedicated to encouraging community spirit within the neighbourhood they live. In order to achieve their mission, they share events happening within the community, host workshops such as babysitting and home alone courses, and rent the building to be used as a community hall. Another initiative that the CMCA carries out is the Abundant Community Copperfield Mahogany program, which encourages positive connections between the residents of the community. The CMCA is an incredible group that embodies the friendly nature of Copperfield’s community!
Five schools reside directly within the Copperfield community, as well as two extracurricular programs. Copperfield School is located directly in the centre of the Copperfield community and caters to Kindergarten through Grade 4. Vesta recently donated $30,000 to help the school achieve their goal of building a new play area and sports field for next year. We love to support schools who value its surrounding community.
St. Isabella Elementary Junior High School is a Catholic school that supports students Kindergarten through Grade 9, and is another fantastic facility.
Two programs that are very unique that the Copperfield community are lucky to have are the Centre Stage Theatre School and Calgary’s Summit School of Dance and Music. The Centre Stage Theatre School is an extracurricular program that supports people of all ages who are interested in learning the art of acting. Calgary’s Summit School of Dance and Music is a great program for kids from one years old to teens to participate in dance. With these great options for extracurricular programming, your kids will never be bored being minutes away from their passions.
