Unwind at these 6 beaches located less than an hour from Langley Township

September is one of the best months to hit a beach near Langley Township.

Not only are Metro Vancouver beaches less crowded towards the end of summer but they’re also a lot more tolerable for individuals adverse to sweltering temperatures. Located close to Latimer Heights, you’ll find a variety of gorgeous beaches, each with something unique to offer visitors.

Whether you’re into stunning sunsets or strolling down the beach on a crisp fall day, here are six beaches to enjoy near Langley Township this fall.

1.

Crescent Beach

Pack your beach bag and take a trip to Crescent Beach in White Rock. Located just 30 minutes west of Langley Township, Crescent Beach offers miles of sandy beaches for swimming, sailing and scenic sunset views. With charming bistros, quaint oceanside homes, and a graveled seaside promenade, the setting is both rustic and romantic.

Blackie Spit

If your dog loves the beach as much as you, hop in the car and take a drive over to Blackie Spit in Surrey. Located 35 minutes from Latimer Heights, Blackie Spit is a popular spot for water sports and playing with your pooch. The off-leash beach is fully fenced in with a shoreline to explore and a swimming area.

Trout Lake Beach

With playing fields, a concession stand, a swimming raft, and lifeguards on duty until early September, Trout Lake Beach is a great place to take the kids before the end of summer. Located just 30 minutes from Latimer Heights, Trout Lake Beach also features an off-leash dog park and a picnic area with BBQs.

White Pine Beach

Located on Sasamat Lake in Port Moody less than 40 minutes from Latimer Heights, White Pine Beach is known for its white sandy beaches, clean water and inviting facilities. Go early on weekends as the parking lot fills up quick.

Centennial Beach Boundary Bay Regional Park

Boundary Bay is a great place to explore year-round, but the sandy beach, tidal flats, and breathtaking views draw huge crowds during warm weather. Located 45 minutes from Latimer Heights in Langley Township, Centennial Beach also features a kid’s playground nearby and a charming pond with ducks.

North Beach

For a calm and secluded beach just 40 minutes from Latimer Heights, take a drive to North Beach on Allouette Lake. While it’s not suitable for swimming, North Beach is a quiet place to relax after a hike, especially on weekdays. Bring water and food because there’s no concession.
