Langley Special Olympics Marathon Event
Vesta properties is very proud to be supporting the Trinity Western University chapter of motionball for Special Olympics. Driven by student volunteers, this organization is raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics programs so that individuals with intellectual disabilities can lead happier, healthier lives.
On March 28th, 150 students from Trinity Western University teamed up with local Special Olympics athletes for an inclusive day of sport and community giving. Motionball aims to raise funds for Special Olympics while promoting inclusive communities and giving meaningful volunteer opportunities to students and young professionals across Canada.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES:
70% of funds will be donated to Special Olympics BC: Local affordable sport programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, introductory programs for children and youth, schools programs, etc.
25% of funds support Special Olympics Initiatives: Regional + International sport competitions for athletes with intellectual disabilities, health screening programs, research initiatives, and more.
5% of funds support education and awareness: anti-bullying campaigns, leadership and life-skills workshops for Special Olympics athletes, awareness initiatives and more!
