Five theatres in Langley

When it comes to arts and culture, Langley is thriving.

Not only is the city abundant with year-round festivals and events for the entire family, but you’ll also find a handful of theatres cooking up some quality shows.

If you’re looking to take in a musical or catch a film screening this fall, be sure to check out these five theatres near Latimer Heights.

Surrey Little Theatre

Surrey Little Theatre is an award-winning theatre group producing quality entertainment less than 10 minutes from new homes at Latimer Heights. Run entirely by volunteers, this hidden gem offers a variety of theatre productions as well as workshops, and youth programs. Past productions have included Legoland, A Grumpy Christmas, and Beer for Breakfast.

The Clova Theatre

Located less than 15 minutes from Latimer Heights, this art deco style theatre and movie house has been a host to a number of dramatic productions, concerts, and independent film screenings over the years. When the curtains close, the floor opens up for audience discussion. During the summer, The Clova Theatre offers free ‘Family Flicks’ on the last Sunday of the month.

Theatre in the country

Theatre in the Country is a community-based dinner theatre in Langley, located 10 minutes from new homes at Latimer Heights. With five shows a year, including comedy and musical productions with a side of delicious food, this theatre has something for everyone. Upcoming shows include Murder on the Nile by Agatha Christie and The Odd Couple by Neil Simon. Tickets can be purchased for individual shows, by the season, or in groups. Dinner is provided by Over the Top Catering.

Chief Sepass Theatre

Located at Langley Fine Arts School in Fort Langley, the Chief Sepass theatre is a multi-purpose venue with an intimate setting, raked seating, and excellent acoustics. Located less than 10 minutes from Latimer Heights, this theatre not only offers great shows, but you’ll also find free parking right near the front entrance.

Bez Arts Hub

Featuring adjustable lighting, a sprung dance floor, a state-of-the-art sound system, and movable chairs, Bez Arts Hub is Langley’s newest arts venue with a wide range of theatre programming. Located less than 10 minutes from new homes at Latimer Heights, you don’t have to travel for high-quality entertainment. This fall, Bez Arts Hub presents a stacked cast of Vancouver improv comedians, singer-songwriter Christina Martin, the Marcus Mosely Ensemble and more.
