KENT SILLARS, CA – PRESIDENT
|Kent has been heavily involved in the development and construction of real estate in BC and Alberta since 1989. His primary role as President of Vesta is to provide leadership and strategic direction to the executive team. In addition to being an active member of the Greater Vancouver Home Builder's Association for the last 15 years, including serving on the Board of Directors for 3 years, Kent is a member of the North American Builders Association, Calgary Home Builders Association and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and a Chartered Accountancy degree. Kent also enjoys dirt biking, running and spending time with his wife and three children.|
DENNIS WIEMKEN – SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
|Dennis oversees land acquisition, planning and development for Vesta and is also responsible for the overall sales strategy and activities in BC and Alberta. He is a licensed Realtor with over 30 years of experience in land development, construction and real estate. Raised in the Lower Mainland, Dennis and his wife have two children. Their family interests include motorcycles, horses and boating.|
STAN WONG, CPA, CMA – VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION
Stan oversees the finance, administration and human resource departments for Vesta. He has more than 33 years of real estate finance and accounting experience, including 13 years with a chartered bank, and over 20 years with major Lower Mainland developers. He holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation and financial management (accounting) diplomas from BCIT. Stan enjoys travelling, golf, hockey and family activities with his wife of 29 years and their two children.
CLAYTON DUGUID – VICE PRESIDENT, CONSTRUCTION
Clayton, who has worked with Vesta for the past 13 years, oversees the construction of all multi-family and single family homes in Alberta. With over 16 years of construction experience, he now leads the Alberta team including hiring and training the customer care team. Clayton holds certificates for building code and management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. When he’s not working, Clayton enjoys camping with his wife and three children and watching his sons’ junior hockey games.
GREG FRIESEN, ASCT – CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Greg manages Vesta's customer care teams and oversees all aspects of budgeting, tendering, permit applications and purchasing for Vesta’s British Columbia building sites. An integral member of Vesta’s management team since 2001, Greg holds a Diploma of Civil and Structural Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has 18 years experience in the construction technology industry. Greg is married and enjoys landscaping, video and board games and spending time with friends and family.
STEVE MILLS – PROJECT MANAGER
Steve joined Vesta in 2008 as an Architectural Technologist after moving from Calgary that same year. In 2015, he transitioned into the role of Project Manager where he is responsible for the communication between sites and the office, and the management of trades and schedules in BC. He also oversees the design and drafting of Vesta projects in both BC and Alberta. Steve has a diploma in Architectural Technologies from SAIT in Calgary, and along with his experience working for various builders in Calgary, continues to be an asset to the Vesta team. When he isn't looking at architectural plans in the office, he enjoys golf, baseball, and spending time with his wife and two children.
SARA TURNER – CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER
Sara brings over 14 years of real estate experience to Vesta’s Customer Service department. Throughout her career she has worked for some of British Columbia’s leading developers, and in addition to her extensive customer service experience, she was a licensed realtor for over five years. Sara graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts. In her free time, she can be found at the beach with her husband, daughter and two dogs, or tending the vegetable garden at her South Surrey home.
MARLENE BEST – SENIOR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Marlene is responsible for development projects in British Columbia. She has a broad range of land development experience in BC spanning 34 years that includes acquisitions, urban design, infrastructure design, planning policy, public and political liaison and project management. She has completed major projects in most lower mainland municipalities. Marlene holds a Bachelors in Urban and Regional Planning, a Masters in Business Administration and is a 27 year Member of Canadian Institute of Planners and the Planning Institute of British Columbia.
She has a passion for community and currently serves as a Director of the Katherine Sanford Housing Society. Marlene enjoys half marathons, cycling and swimming. She has agricultural roots and was awarded Outstanding Young Farmer of Canada 1994-95 and has sat on several National Advisory Committees.
CHRISTINE TURNER – MARKETING MANAGER
Christine joins Vesta with an extensive 15 year background in marketing, design and corporate branding. Her drive and passion for real estate marketing can be noted in her work. As the Marketing Manager, she is responsible for media planning, strategizing and the execution of various marketing initiatives for all of the Vesta Properties’ communities. She also oversees and directs the corporate marketing initiatives for Vesta. In her spare time, Christine can often be found cycling around town or enjoying quality time with her grandchildren.
