Vesta in the Community
At Vesta, we're proud to support the communities in which we build. Whether by sponsoring a local sports team, or contributing funds for an annual family-oriented community event, we believe in helping grow the neighbourhoods we've worked so hard to create.
Our community involvement includes:
- Langley Community Day and Parade (Langley, BC) – Vesta was a major sponsor of the Love the World - Love the City kids carnival. Our sponsorship supported both at-risk children in Langley and in Africa, through Compassion Canada.
- Arbour Day (Langley, BC) – Vesta contributed to this tree planting endeavour at McLeod Athletic Park in conjunction with the Township of Langley.
- El Salvador Project (Airdrie, Alberta) – In partnership with EMCC World Partners' (Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada) Vesta built a special house in their Luxstone Community. Net proceeds from the sale of this house will help build homes for families in the village of Las Brisas, which was devastated by an earthquake in 2001. read more
- Airdrie Festival of Lights (Airdrie, Alberta) – Vesta is pleased and very proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of the very popular Airdrie Festival of Lights, now in its' twelfth season. Running from December 1 to 31, 2007, over 50,000 visitors from Okotoks to Red Deer are expected to visit the Festival of Lights during the holiday season.
Vesta has made an unprecedented five year $150,000 commitment to the Festival of Lights, earning the right to be the presenting sponsor and also the sponsor of the Santa and Polar Express trains – the event's most popular attractions.
The Vesta Team believes that their commitment to the Airdrie community is exhibited in the quality homes and neighbourhoods that they build, and also in supporting the enjoyment of living in this beautiful area.
In addition to the sponsorship of the Festival, being the sponsor of the Festival's train rides is exciting and fun for two reasons, firstly, Vesta's upcoming community, Williamstown's logo and theme is based on a historic train station, and "we're kids at heart" when it comes to taking a train ride through the Festival to look at all of the beautiful lights!
